haunted heaven Reviews
3.5 Stars, rounded up.Full review can be found at -This is a nice story if you like a few ghosts with your romance. Jett and Honor have been together for two years, though 'together' might not be the right word to use here. Jett is out and proud, while Honor is deeply in the closet and has no desire to step out of it for any reason. Finally, Jett has enough and dumps him. I admit to saying "Yes! Good riddance!" when I read that.Heartbroken, Honor (at the suggestion of his parents) goes out to spend a few days at the family's old homestead. Abandoned for years, he doesn't expect to see much. When he arrives, not only does he see the old family home still standing, but before long, he becomes privy to the private events that unfolded in the lives of his ancestors who once owned the home. This happens, we soon discover, to teach Honor a lesson of sorts.Overall, a good story. I enjoyed the paranormal aspects way more than the actual love story between Jett and Honor, but it was still an entertaining read. I'm going to sound like a broken record here, but it would've been much better had it been edited better. The story is good (especially the story of the ghosts in the story), but it could've been a whole lot better had it been proofread. I didn't allow that to take away from my enjoyment of the story, but it needs to be noted.
As Halloween is approach and summer gives way to Autumn, this was the perfect novella to help get me in the spirit (pun intended). I look forward to reading more from this Andre Young.
This M/M romance, a short story in length, is part of a loosely connected series.I got it for free but, more than that, it is professionally written and has a simple but logical plot. The required HEA is delayed by some over the top melodrama but it fits the story.
It started out ok, but it could have been so much more.
gay romance meets A Christmas Carol, it's a quick but touching little story
