Bride of Atlantis (originally published 2003)When Alexis Stanhope finds herself captive in a world not her own, filled with wonders both savage and beautiful, she knows she must find a way to escape, to return to her own world and her own people, to avenge her father's murder. And yet, from the moment she first meets the Guardian, she finds it impossible to resist the temptation to yield to him; heart, body and soul. In yielding, can she conquer the heart of the mightiest warrior the world has ever seen? Or will she lose her heart, only to learn that even love can not bridge the gap for two beings from such different worlds? Darkling Seas (originally published 2008) According to the tales passed down over generations, the mythological creatures had been known to lure the unsuspecting to their deaths. They were so awed by their discovery, so enthralled with the beautiful creature—they had to wonder, could it be that there was some substance to the myth? Lords of the Sea (originally publishing 2007) Were they destined to be enemies? Or to bridge the gap between their two races and bring peace to a world gone mad? Sentinel Raen knew the intruder needed air, but his body was of a different mind when Cassie clung to him like a limpet and demanded his mouth each time he pulled away. And he discovered he was in no particular hurry to get his captive to the holding cell they'd set up for the human intruders. Dark Abyss (originially published 2009) She wanted to save the world—They wanted to save theirs. When the High Guardian of the Watchmen, Simon, is ordered to put a stop to the terrorists determined to wipe out the ‘non humans’, he zeros in on the daughter of the man believed to be the leader—Dr. Anna Blake. Miles Cavendish might be as slippery as they come, but Anna is all too easy for them to lay their hands on....

masters of the deep Reviews
I enjoyed this anthology of mermen and biologically altered humans. The world building was inventive and I never thought I was reading a similar plot to the others. FYI, the first story has a rape scene. The stories alternate between m/f and multiple partners. The intimacy is mostly fast and frantic so there aren't pages upon pages of sex. Some of the inner monologues became so lengthy I wanted to skim.Adult sexual content, biblical profanityread in KU
